This company doesn't sound too "kosher"!  Really!  If it is a public utility company then you do have options!  I have dealt with similar situations and still managed to help my clients as far as woriking with their utility companies are concerned.

 You have more options than you know!

They are telling me that they do not help seniors. They would not listen to anything regarding her medical problems. I have never seen anything like it.

from my dealings with utility companies the majority of them won't shut you off if someone in the household has a medical condition, however they will need proof such as a doctor's statement.
